A near-Very Good First Edition copy of this extremely hard to find account of the Battle of Trafalgar by the poet and author of "Drake's Drum", "The Island Race" and "Vitaï Lampada".

Book Condition - Very Good Minus: Hardback, 8vo (approx 8 inches / 20.5 cm tall), xvi + 244 pages with six illustrations including the tissue guarded frontispiece all confirmed present in Good+ to Very Good condition plus four page publisher's catalogue at rear (foxing and creasing to the edges of a couple plates). Light to moderate general wear to the original blue boards and spine (slight fading to spine, light to moderate bruising to spine extremities, light rubbing to corner tips, spots of light soiling to the rear board), gilt spine lettering faded but still clear, securely bound with hinges fully intact, light to moderate toning / foxing to text block edges, fore edge rough cut, impression from a circular embossed personal library stamp on the Title Page, notable creasing to the bottom edge of page 243-4 with associated pressure marks to the adjoining pages, internally beautifully clean and clear in a Very Good+ condition throughout. No dust jacket.
