A good signed First Edition, first printing copy of this novel in three parts ("Summer Idyll", "Dark Journey" and "Aftermath") written between 1928 and 1932. Internally exceptionally clean and clear but offered at a much reduced price due to board soiling. No publishing history but believed to have been published in 1932.
Book Condition (Overall) - Good: Hardback, 12mo (approx 7.5 inches / 19 cm tall), 285 pages with a one page advertisement for Cecil Roberts' autobiography at rear. Heavy general wear, rubbing and soiling to the original black boards and spine, securely bound with some very early internal separation, light to moderate toning to endpapers and text block edges, presentation inscription from Cecil Roberts on the front free endpaper (dated February 1932), small patch of shelf soiling to text block bottom edge, intermittent light to moderate foxing to front and rear prelims, thereafter beautifully clean and clear with infrequent very light foxing on cream coloured paper in a Very Good+ condition throughout. No dust jacket.
