A near-Very Good copy of this beautifully illustrated collection of classic tales from the Arabian Nights. No publishing history but believed to have been published c1914.
Book Condition - Good+ to Very Good Minus: Hardback, 4to (approx 11 inches / 28 cm tall), 223 pages with twenty three colour plates (including the frontispiece) and captioned tissue guards all confirmed present in Very Good to Very Good Minus condition (light foxing to the plain reverse of a small number of plates; creasing to frontispiece tissue guard).
Light to moderate general wear to the original tan and blue illustrated cloth boards and spine (moderate sunning to spine; light to moderate bowing to the boards, light to moderate bruising to spine extremities with light bump to top of boards adjoining spine; moderate shelf soiling to the plain rear board), securely bound with hinges fully intact, an instance of moderate separation between pages 8-9 with some further early internal separation but no loose pages, floral endpapers with very small bookseller's sticker at bottom of front pastedown, moderate toning and foxing to text block edges, no previous ownership inscriptions, significant foxing to the half title and adjoining blank pages and to the plain reverse of page 223, otherwise only intermittent mostly light internal foxing (very occasionally moderate with a couple instances of light to moderate foxing to the plain inner margins), paper stock / binding crease to the inner margin of page 59-60, otherwise internally very clean and clear in a Very Good Minus overall condition. No dust jacket.
