Poems Chiefly Rural by William Richardson, Third Edition, Foulis 1776 - Inside

A good Third Edition copy of this very hard to find collection of poems by the acclaimed Shakespeare scholar William Richardson. Comes complete with a letter from the University of Glasgow (dated 1970) confirming Richardson's role at the university and underlining his importance as one of the first notable Shakesperian critics.

Book Condition (Overall) - Good: Hardback, 144 pages. Significant to heavy general wear to the original full leather boards and spine, gilt spine lettering and decoration faded but still clear, front board and free endpaper nearly detached, securely bound internally, no previous ownership inscriptions but remains of previous pencil annotations on front endpapers still visible, front endpapers and prelims to dedication page have light to moderate toning / soiling, rear endpapers heavily toned / soiled, otherwise internally very clean with light to moderate toning towards the rear of the book (most notable from page 121 onwards).

Total weight with packaging 225g.
