A very rare signed First Edition copy of Michael Powell's acclaimed autobiography with his inscription on the Title Page reading "for Tim Bevan Michael Powell Cardiff Nov 1986" (from checks we have made we understand the original owner to have been the film Producer and co-founder of Working Title Films, Tim Bevan).
Book Condition - Good+: Hardback, 8vo (approx 9.5 inches / 24 cm tall), 705 pages. Light to moderate general wear to the original green boards and spine (scratching and a number of small pressure marks to the front board - cloth abraded but not broken and pressure marks not visible internally, light bruising to spine extremities and corner tips), gilt spine lettering clear and bright, securely bound with hinges fully intact, light to moderate toning and soiling to text block edges, internally very clean and clear on light cream coloured paper in a Very Good condition throughout.
Jacket Condition - Good Minus: Moderate edge wear and creasing, light to moderate shelf wear, in common with many copies the jacket stripes have faded from silver(?) to light green on the spine and at the top of the front cover, not price clipped. Now fully enclosed in an easily removable Trimsleeve library cover.
