A near-Very Good copy of Edmund Fitzgerald's translation of Omar Khayyam's poems beautifully illustrated by Edmund Dulac. Fitzgerald's text has been taken from the Macmillan Second Edition. No publishing history but believed to have been published c1909.

Book Condition - Very Good-: Hardback, 4to (approx 11 inches / 28 cm tall), unpaginated card pages with printing on recto only, illustrated with 20 beautiful tissue guarded colour plates (including frontispiece) all confirmed present in excellent condition (two light diagonal creases to the plate for Quatrain 1 - probably arising from the original production process) .

Light general wear and soiling to the original ivory coloured cloth boards and spine, small amount of rubbing with tiny amount of board exposure to front board bottom corner and base of spine, gilt front board and spine lettering / decoration clear and bright, securely bound with hinges fully intact, small amount of bubbling to front and rear pastedown papers, some very small pressure marks to front pastedown (paper not broken), no previous ownership inscriptions but two small areas of rust marking to front and rear free endpapers (photographs available), very light to light internal foxing and edge toning, otherwise internally beautifully clean and clear in a Very Good condition throughout. A lovely copy. No dust jacket.
