A well preserved copy of the first of the Peter Rabbit books. This charming little story has a continuing appeal for both adults and children. This small format edition is undated but contains printing characteristics that point to a publication date between 1910 and 1914 (the drawings on pages 68 & 81 were first used in September 1907 when the blocks were re-engraved and only continued in use to 1914; the endpapers were used between 1910 and 1918. Book Condition - Fair+: Hardback, 85 pages (all pages and colour plates present). Original brown boards with silver lettering and blind stamped picture of Peter Rabbit, owner's name on half title and further annotation on blank reverse of first plate, light soiling throughout, internal separation but all pages still bound. No dust jacket.
Total weight with packaging for both books 450g.
