An extremely scarce, near-Fine First UK Edition copy of this science fiction classic.

Book Condition - Very Good+: Hardback, 248 pages. Original black boards and spine in a near-Mint condition with no discernable edge or corner wear, silver spine lettering wonderfully clear and bright, securely bound, no previous ownership inscriptions, internally spotless on ivory coloured paper with light toning / foxing to endpapers and adjoining pages, the only blemishes of note are light to moderate paper edge foxing and moderate top edge toning (without these condition would have been Fine-).

Jacket Condition - Good+: An excellent example of this fragile jacket with its front cover illustration still wonderfully clear and fresh. Light to moderate edge wear and creasing, some small edge tears (two repaired with book repair film), minor chipping to fold-in extremities and top of spine with a tiny amount of loss, spine slightly faded, light to moderate general soiling / toning (mainly to rear cover), not price clipped. Now fully enclosed in a protective Trimsleeve library cover.
